The week I commissioned the cover art for Tethered was… a lot.

I had such a clear vision of what I wanted the cover to be, and I was so nervous it wouldn’t turn out the way I’d been imagining it for months. At the same time, my ferret needed a big (and very costly) surgery to remove her spleen and a massive tumor… and as if that wasn’t enough, a stray cat showed up on my porch. 

But somehow, everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to. 

The cover turned out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined, my ferret made a full recovery, and that “stray” cat is now very much living in my house (despite the fact that I’m allergic… but no one’s ever accused me of being sane 🤷🏽‍♀️)
